Author, Ellen Elliott Weatherbee has taught botany at the University of Michigan for 25 years and is the founder of the Adult Education Program at the Matthaei Botanical Gardens in Ann Arbor. 

 

Michigan Sea Grant produced a full-color coastal plants diagram and submitted original plants photography for this guidebook.

 

This publication is a combined effort between Michigan Sea Grant and the University of Michigan Press. This is the first publication in a series of books about the Great Lakes coast.
