Design Charrette Resources

Initial Visioning Meeting
During the initial visioning meeting, attendees weighed in on the future of Ontonagon’s waterfront. Community members helped identify assets linked to existing or potential public waterfront uses and/or facilities.

Work In Progress
Prior to delivery of the final report, a “work in progress” presentation was developed to summarize the proposed vision for Ontonagon’s future waterfront.

Final Presentation
The “final” presentation provides a summary of the initial three design alternatives that were reviewed and scored by the community during the design charrette (November 5-7); top ranked components from the design options were used to create a “preferred alternative” — which represents one conceptual vision for the Ontonagon waterfront. This is not a set plan, but a vision tool.

Final Report
This report is a result of work sponsored by Michigan Sea Grant. The authors would like to acknowledge the efforts of all project partners and the committed municipal leaders, staff, and citizens for the contributions to this product.

Economic Analysis
As part of the community visioning effort for the waterfront, a community-specific economic analysis was conducted.
