The National Sea Grant (NSG) Communications Network is comprised of representatives from each state Sea Grant program, including communications directors/managers, science writers, editors, graphic designers, webmasters and others. Communications leaders focus on public outreach, media relations, and print/web/new media development. There is frequently a significant amount of overlap between communications, extension and education activities.
The National Sea Grant program is comprised of a number of related networks, in addition to the National Sea Grant Program Office, the Sea Grant Association of member/directors and others. The National Sea Grant Networks include the Communications Network, the Extension Assembly, the Sea Grant Education Network, the Fiscal Officers Network and the Research Administrators Network.
