Best Management Practices for Marinas in Michigan

Michigan marinas have the opportunity to participate in a program with both environmental and economic benefits, through one of two workshops on November 7th (Muskegon) or December 5th (Bay City). These training workshops for marina operators will focus on practical, common-sense tips, developed by the Michigan Clean Marina Program, for controlling pollutants associated with recreational boating operation, maintenance and storage, and relevant environmental laws and regulations. To register, see the Michigan Boating Industries Association website, www.mbia.org or call MBIA at 734-261-0123.

The Michigan Clean Marina Program is a partnership of the Michigan Boating Industries Association, Michigan Sea Grant College Program and the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality. For more information about the Michigan Clean Marina Program, see www.miseagrant.umich.edu/cmp
