Natural Resource Partners

Many federal, state, and local resource management agencies and partners operate and manage public coastal resources in Northeast Michigan. These natural resource managers have invested in multiple planning processes that outline visions, directions, and strategies for resource protection and coastal tourism development, which allows for sustainable business operation in these areas. Natural resource managers can also enhance resource interpretation and provide stewardship education to community members and visitors.
